Mercer sophomore Abigail Zoeller is the latest Southern Conference women's soccer player of the week.
The transfer from Kentucky is in the top 20 nationally with 17 points, leading the Bears with six goals and five assists, getting three last week in a 7-0 win over Alabama State. She followed that up a goal against Kennesaw State. ...
Mercer took two of the three Southern Conference player of the week honors, thanks to the upset of Samford.
Quarterback Robert Riddle is the offensive honoree with kicker Cole Fisher getting the special teams nod.
Riddle passed for 316 yards and a touchdown, and added a rushing score. He completed 23 passes to nine Bears, topped by a 73-yard touchdown to Stephen Houzah.
