Abbey Sims drove in four runs with three hits, scoring three times, as did Bailey Odom on two hits. Emily Sanders had two hits and two RBI, and Riley Edge scored twice with two hits. Clara Rickerson added two RBI. Jalexia Wright had of the Falcons’ four hits.
FPD 4, Stratford 1
The Vikings got what they needed with two in the first and added insurance in the seventh in the battle of top-5 teams. Cassie Sutton went 3-for-3 and Olivia Parker 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI for FPD. Karsen Ochs gave up two hits and struck out 16 with one walk.
GMC 19, Glascock County 0
The Bulldogs scored two touchdowns and PATs worth in the third inning. Makenna Talcott and Jordan Wallter each went 3-for-3. Talcott scoring three times. Cade Bass and Bella Herring had two hits each.
Hawkinsville 1, Brookstone 0
Danielle Powers scattered six hits for the complete-game win, the Red Devils getting the lone run on Kirsten Wolters single to score Ashanti Edwards just before the third out of the inning was made.
Jones County 8, Eagles Landing 0
Small-ball worked well for the Greyhounds, who got eight on seven hits and seven walks. Mayson Watford and Destin Howard had two RBI each.
Lee County 4, Houston County 2
The Bears managed a run in the fifth and seventh on only four hits, two from Lauren Ross.
Mary Persons 9, Upson-Lee 6
The Bulldogs led 7-1 after three, and the Knights rallied some with five in the sixth. Mary Persons had five errors and Upson-Lee three. Faith Ann Rozier and Emma Heath had three hits for Mary Persons, and Destiny Middleton and Victoria Vinning two. Hanah Vanhouton led Upson-Lee with two hits.
Mount de Sales 15, Wilkinson County 0
The Warriors had eight errors, and 10 of the Cavs’ runs were unearned. Jordan Partian’s three hits topped MdS, Chloe Nepveeux and Carolina Allman chipping in two hits.
Perry 5, Spalding 4
The Panthers held off Spalding’s late rally. Terra Odom and AliRae Dykes had two hits each for Perry, Reagan Hughes getting the complete-game win.
Piedmont 14, Gatewood 1
Hailey Hooper drove in five runs with two hits and Fleming Sealy three with two. Haley Ann Frank had three hits and Lucy Tuggle two hits. Maddie Morton fanned 10 with no walks in four innings.
Rutland 17, Kendrick 0
The Hurricanes got all their runs in the first two innings. Breasia Davis drove in three runs on two hits and Taylor Stewart two on two. Ejunah Sledge added two hits and two runs.
Veterans 15, Warner Robins 0
The Warhawks rolled to the shortened region with with 12 in the second as Emily Myers threw the three-inning no hitter. Trinity Thiel topped the 15-hit parade with three hits and three RBI. Jena Thomas had three RBI, three runs, and two hits, Kaylee Brown and Cathering Hickey also had two hits
Westfield 4, John Milledge 3
The Hornets survived the Trojans’ three-run sixth and five errors to clinch the GISA Region 2-AAA championship. Marena Knowles had two hits for Westfield, and Emma Williams struck out 14 with one walk in seven innings.
West Laurens 2, Howard 0
Payten Strickland’s two hits led the Raiders, who scored single runs in the fifth and sixth to win at home.
