Tuesday's Braves Report (final edition): Another rough night for the pen; playoff rotation; minor-league honors
Sanchez gives six good innings, but …
Anibal Sanchez fanned nine with no walks in six innings, allowing two runs, but St. Louis got to the bullpen in an 8-1 win, evening the Braves home record to .500.
The Braves managed all of seven hits against five pitchers.
Atlanta showed some ninth-inning fight, with a two-out walk to Ozzie Albies and double from Freddie Freeman, giving him a 3-hit night. But a popout by Nick Markakis ended it.
The Cards got two runs off of Jonny Venters, Dan Winkler and Bryse Wilson.
