Macon made the opener close with 3 in the bottom of the ninth, but the whole was too big. Gage Harrelson, Ben Tryon, and Charlie Dean each had two hits for the Bacon, who struck out 8 times, as did the Blowfish.
The visitors broke a scoreless battle with two in the top of the seventh as the nightcap neared midnight, the hosts getting one back in the bottom half of the seventh, the final inning.
Macon, which dropped to 16-29, visits Lexongton County for two on Friday, and closes the season at home on Saturday against the Flamingos.
