A 4-run first and 3-run fourth put Macon in control, and the Bacon delivered the complete knock-out punch with 5 in the 18th.
Macon (14-21) outhit Florence (21-15) by a huge 17-3 spread, a margin the erased the impact of 3 errors.
Ben Tryon went 4 for 5 with 5 RBI on a homer and 2 doubles, ending the game with a grand slam. Elijah Smith (Houston County) went 4 for 4 with 2 runs and 2 doubles. Charlie Davis added 3 hits and 2 runs.
Veterans grad Hunter Varnadoe turned in a major night, going all 8 innings, striking out 11 with 1 walk, on 114 pitches.
Macon hosts Catawba on Saturday and Asheboro on Tuesday, with Florence coming back on Friday.
