Henley finishes strong at Wells Fargo
The first three rounds of the Wells Fargo Championship for Russell Henley didn’t likely hint at the final round.
After three inconsistent days of play, Henley turned in solid golf on Sunday with a 4-under round for a tied-for-10th finish in Charlotte.
Henley could’t get out of town with a bogey-free round, but had one on Sunday, countered by five birdies.
He was way behind the top of the leaderboard, like so many, finishing 14 shots behind winner Rory McIlroy. But he ended the tournament with some momentum.
Up next is the PGA Championship in Louisville this week.
