Henley under par again, but drops

Russell Henley had a nice second round at The Sentry in Hawaii, but nowhere near nice enough.

          He needed โ€˜good.โ€™

Henley managed a 1-under day Friday, but dropped 29 spots into a tie for 54th in a 59-player field.

He sits at 5-under 141, with Davis Riley, who fell 17 spots.

The Maconite had the biggest fall of the day, while Kurt Kitayama made the biggest jump, 30 spots into a tie for 23rd. He had an early bogey on 4 and late on on 17, with birdies on 2, 10, and 15, unable to get the momentum had had toward the end of the first round.

He is nine shots back of leader Scottie Scheffler, and tees off at 2:33 p.m. with Seamus Power and Cam Davis.

Henley will stay in the vacation hot spot next week for the Sony Open.
