Cox (FPD/Mercer) back in the bigs
As expected, the yo-yo season of Austin Cox has undergone another yo.
The former FPD and Mercer pitching standout is amid another stretch in the majors with Kansas City. He spent June 7-July 19 with KC, returned to AAA Omaha, and was called back up on July 19.
Since then, he has pitched in six games, including Tuesday night against the Mets, going 1.1 innings and giving up a hit and run, all in relief. In this latest stint, so far, he has pitched six innings, with three strikeouts, four walks, and four earned runs.
He has pitched in 14 games for KC, with 26.2 innings, 22 strikeouts, and 14 walks, and a 3.71 ERA, batters hitting .198 against him.
