Macon walks it off in 11th

For the second straight night, Macon was in a walk-off game.

This time, the Bacon did the walking.

Jarrett Jenkins started the bottom of the 11th on second, and scooted home with the game-winner on Jackso Cherry’s single for a 4-3 Macon win over Asheboro at Luther Williams Field.

Jorge Pereira and Cameron Crosby each had two hits for Macon.

The Bacon pulled within a half-game of first in the West Division, behind Forest City. Macon visits Florence on Monday and hosts Florence on Thursday, another fireworks night.
