Late rally lifts Macon

A sacrifice fly and a wild pitch led to two runs in the bottom of the seventh and a 9-7 win for Macon over visiting Lexington County.

Manny Jackson walked, advanced on a walk and wild pitch, and came in with the lead run on Antonio Brown’s sac fly. Connor Hill, who had walked and advanced on a wild pitch and that fly, scooted home on a wild pitch for insurance.

The top of the ninth was interrupted only by a hit batter by winning pitcher Logan Wash, who went four innings in relief.

Macon, which won despite being outhit 9-5, is at High Point on Sunday, and then is off until hosting Lexington County on Friday.
