It was tied, and then the Bacon scored two TDs (but missed a PAT)
High Point and Macon were tied at 8 after six innings on a typically warm Sunday afternoon.
Then Macon got really hot, and dropped 13 runs in the top of the seventh on the HiToms for a 21-8 win in Coastal Plain action.
Macon did that damage on only seven hits, thanks to six walks and a hit by pitch.
The Bacon banged out 19 hits, led by a 5-for-6 day from Connor Hicks, who had four RBI. Antonio Brown went 3 for 3 with five RBI, Elijah Frank and Matthew Delay Jr. adding three-hit games, Delay scoring four times. Jorge Pereira and John-Reagan Freethy had two hits and three runs, Macon getting at least two RBI from five players and at least two runs from seven.
Macon is off until Friday when it hosts Lexington County.
