Big seventh lifts Macon
Lexington County had a one-run lead in the pitchers’ duel, and then came the seventh.
There went the win.
Macon put up five in the seventh to help survive a whopping five errors in a 5-1 win over visiting Lexington County.
Nine Bacon batters got a hit, led by a 2-for-4 night from Andy Blake. Peyton Cariago went six innings for the win, fanning five with a walk and four hits.
Macon is at Florence on Thursday, and hosts Lexington County on Friday.
