Macon wins shortened game with Savannah

Weather was Macon’s friend, the Bacon getting a 5-3 five-inning win at Luther Williams Field.

The game was called at 9:38 p.m.

Tyler Martin had two of Macon’s five hits, and drove in two runs, as did Jarrod Belbin.

The Bacon host Lexington County n Wednesday and Friday, with a trip to Florence on Thursday. There is an Eggs game on Saturday, with the CPL All-Star game on Sunday.

That game will be at Holly Springs, N.C., and first since 2019. Mason Minzey and Bryce Matthews are the Bacon players on the West roster.
