Bacon hold off Florence
Florence scored three in two late innings, but Macon’s early offense was enough for a 5-3 win Monday night.
The game was apparently a makeup game from a rainout, but neither team noted the unscheduled game online or on social media.
Macon evened its record at 22-22 despite four errors, thanks to two-RBI games from Kyle Bork and Carter Sanford, and two hits from Jared Weber.
Sam Replogle struck out eight with two hits and a walk in six shutout innings.
According to the schedule, Macon is at Savannah on Wednesday, hosts Savannah on Thursday and Forest City on Friday, and is at Florence on Saturday for the regular-season finale.
