          Two in the first was more than enough for the Demons, who got a one-hitter from Cam Thrift, with 12 strikeouts and two walks. He handled offense, too, with three hits – including a double and homer – and two RBI, plus three runs. Isaiah Canion and Amir Quick added two hits each.

West Laurens 14, Howard 8

          The Huskies rallied to make it respectable after the Raiders charged out to a 13-5 lead after three. Six errors and six unearned runs doomed the Huskies. Eli Floyd drove in four runs for West Laurens, with got two hits from William Kellam. Matthew Thigpen, Kaden Baggett, and Parker Bryant combined for eight strikeouts against only one walk.

Veterans 17, Crisp County 1

          The Warhawks did all the damage in the third and fourth innings, to end it. Keegan McLemore, Tanner O’Neal, and Brennan Mercer had two hits each for Veterans. McLemore, O’Neal, and Colin Weldford had two RBI each to back up four from Hunter Dryden. Cody Daugherty and Jarrett Pierce teamed for an eight-strikeout, no-walk three-hitter.
