MBKB: Mercer breaks losing streak with road win
Henley turns in another below-par round
Things were rolling along pretty smoothly for Russell Henley.
After his first nine holes at the WM Phoenix, he was three under.
Then the second nine started.
Three birdies and three pars were countered by a double bogey and two bogeys, and Henley finished the final round with a two-under 69, ending up tied for 33rd with a seven-under 277.
Scottie Scheffler topped Patrick Cantlay on the third playoff hole to win.
He continues to turn in even or below-par rounds, and is in the field for this week’s Genesis Invitational at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
