The schedules, they are a-changing: this week's Central Georgia football adjustments
This week's Central Georgia high school football schedules' COVID-related changes are underway, as are next week's.
They started Tuesday with Southwest cancelling its game at Baldwin, and the Braves picking up a game at Brookwood as a replacement.
Two more Bibb County games have been changed, as per a release Wednesday morning from the county school district.
Next Thursday's Sumter County-Central game at Henderson has been moved to Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m., and next Friday's Westside-Southwest game has been cancelled.
West Laurens' home game this week against Bradwell Institute has been cancelled. The Raiders' posted the move Wednesday morning on Facebook, but the Coastal Courier newspaper in Hinesville reported it on Aug. 26, because Liberty County schools had to put activities on hold through Sept.10.
Wednesday night, West Laurens announced it was now playing Beach at home on Saturday.
Bradwell was able to get its Aug. 20 game against Westside in, a 33-10 Seminoles win.
Baldwin also announced Wednesday night that it now had a homecoming game and opponent, Rutland on Oct. 1
