A Public-ACE 3, Gordon Lee 2; Gordon Lee 10, ACE 0; at Gordon Lee, Monday, 5 p.m.

The Gryphons were road warriors in the opening, going down 2-0 in the first but tying it in the sixth and winning it in the seventh. ACE’s lead run in the top half came on Sam Whitley’s walk, stolen base, and RBI single to center from Gavin West, his second hit of the game. Starter Fisher Timms finished off the quality complete game with a 16-pitch retired-in-order bottom of the seventh, surviving ACE doing little with five Gordon Lee errors. He gave up four hits and two walks against three strikeouts on 92 pitches. The hosts needed only five innings in the nightcap after racking up six runs in the top of the fifth. Both teams had four hits, but Gryphons pitching struggled, with 12 walks to only three strikeouts.
