          Frederica enjoyed a 3-0 lead after one for not very long. The Gryphons scored two in the second and four in the third. Lem Thompson, Blake Smith, Gavin West, and Ashton Donaldson had two hits each, Donaldson with four RBI and Thompson two. Fisher Timms, Jack Corrigan, and Lem Thompson handled the pitching.

Bacon County 9, East Laurens 6

Houston County 15, Valdosta 11; Valdosta 6, Houston County 0

          The bats were busy in the opener, with 26 runs and 26 hits. Coleman Willis led Houston County with a 4-for-5 night, Gage Harrelson adding a 3-for-4 evening with three runs. Kaden Galason had two hits, while EJ Lewis drove in three runs, and the Bears got two RBI from Treyson Hughes, Garrett Hortman, and Christian Davis. In the odd nightcap, Houston County outhit Valdosta 6-1, but got shut out. Harrelson and Hughes had two hits apiece. The Wildcats got five in the sixth on four walks, a hit batter, three passed balls, and two wild pitches.

Stratford 4, Savannah Country Day 2

          The Eagles scored single runs in the sixth and seventh for the win, aided during the night by four errors leading to three unearned runs. Waldon Davis and Micah Takac had two hits each, Jimmy Bowden with two RBI. Lawson Cole, Ben Jamison, and Takac teamed for the four-hitter.

Treutlen 4, Hawkinsville 1; Treutlen 6, Hawkinsville 4

Ware County 4, Veterans  3; Veterans 20, Ware County 2

          Ware County broke the tie with one in the sixth. The Warhawks were held to five hits. The nightcap was quite different, Veterans racking up 13 hits and earning 11 walks. Blake Ethridge was sharp on the mount with a five-strikeout, two-walk four-hitter and complete game. Mark Lauritsen had three hits, three runs, and walked three times. Jarrett Pierce drove in four runs on three hits and Ethridge three on one. Al Lorenzo scored five times, Clifford Pless three times. Brennan Mercer had three hits and Carter King two.

          Madison Cheek scored twice and Madison Johnson twice for the Falcons.

B-East Laurens 5, Swainsboro 0

          Riley Senn scored four goals to lead the Falcons to their first win of the season. Hunter Selby scored the other goal.

          The Bears cruised to the 1-6A title and sent the seniors out in style at Freedom Field.
