Henley makes a move in Phoenix
Russell Henley continued to improve on yesterday, jumping into the top 20 of the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
The Stratford alum shot a 65 on Saturday, two better than Friday and five better than Thursday, to pull into a tied for 16th with a 203. He’s eight shots back of co- leaders Jordan Spieth, who torched the course on Saturday with a 61, and Xander Schauffele.
Henley reeled of seven birdies and an eagle to counter a pair of bogeys for a 6-under third round. His 29 on his front nine, starting on 10, tied a tournament 9-hole scoring record.
