                    Three in the third put Houston County in control of the mutually error-field game. Kinsley Snider led Houston County with three hits, while Abbie Havard, Tess Rollins, and Ariana Pham had two hits each, and Jacy Harrelson a homer and three RBI. Casey Ruffin had three hits and three RBI for Northside. Hannah Cantrell and Harrelson teamed for the five-inning win, with 10 strikeouts.

Area 2-AAA, at Jackson: Peach County 3, Upson-Lee 1 (25-17, 25-7, 23-25, 25-21; Pike County 3, Central 0; Mary Persons 3, Crisp County 0; Jackson-Sumter County
          Peach County improved to 15-7 and qualified for the state tournament, and plays Jackson Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in a semifinal.

          The Gryphons visit Central Talbotton on Thursday, with the winner likely getting second place in region and a home first-round state playoff matchup.
