Bacon get win at Savannah
A three-run sixth inning lifted Macon to a 5-2 win at Savannah in Coastal Plain League action Friday.
Josh Hood’s two hits and two RBI led the balanced Macon attack. The Bacon got a solid pitching out, Dalton Smith getting the win and Connor Manous the save.
A split Macon squad survived six errors to beat the Catawba Valley Stars 9-7, led by J. Fullerton’s three RBI and two-hit games from Noah Mendlinger, Billy Hancock, and Trevor Austin.,
Macon hosts Savannah on Saturday.
