Georgia College volleyball eye next step

          The Bobcats finished second in the Peach Belt tournament a year ago, and will be led by all-conference and all-tournament standout Libby Bochniak as they try for the hardware.

          Four other key players return, and will be in action when Georgia College hosts Tusculum Friday night, and then Limestone and Lindenwood on Saturday.

 

Seniors to lead FVSU volleyballers

          Five seniors, along with junior India King of Warner Robins, will lead Fort Valley State when it opens the volleyball season on Friday at Middle Georgia State.

          FVSU, which hosts Albany State on Tuesday, went 5-17 last year. Nia Bell leads the group of seniors, with King – second on the team in kills – providing a boost.

 

‘New’ is the key word for Georgia College soccer

          A new head coach and a number of new players will be on the pitch for Georgia College when it starts the season Friday at Eckerd.

          Tinna Gallagher takes over, and has a roster of seven freshman, including Carlie Harriger of Howard.
