A 10-run first lifted the Gryphons. Lizzy Mitchell, Destiny Lucas, and Regan Foster had two hits each, with Foster and Sarah Winters driving in two runs each. Dixiana Sims fanned eight in the four-inning three-hitter.
Burke County 12, Washington County 1
Hawkinsville 8, Wheeler County 2
A four-run first was enough for Hawkinsville, thanks in part to five errors by Wheeler County. Two-hit nights for the Red Devils: Ashanti Edwards, Samantha Lancaster, Kirsten Wolters, Nadia Sloan, Kaitlyn Newman, and Mary Claire Daniell. Sloan and Daniel drove in two runs each. Daniell threw the first five for the win.
Johnson County 12, East Laurens 1
Locust Grove 5, Jones County 1
Three in the fifth lifted Locust Grove, which survived four errors.
Rutland 15, Mary Persons 7
The big offensive night had Rutland with a one-run lead through five before the Hurricanes put six up in the sixth. Rutland coughed up nine errors, leading to nine unearned runs. Keely Bryant, Lacey Caldwell, and Taylor Stewart each had three hits from the top three spots in the lineup and Ciara Passmore with three at the bottom. Amber Summerday, Bailey Caldwell, and Passmore drove in two runs each.
Sandy Creek 12, Putnam County 0
Tattnall 15, Wilkinson County 0
The Trojans, who had one more hit than the Warriors did errors, scored 11 in the first of the 3.5-inning game. Hailey Daughtry had three RBI, with two each coming fro Julia Bridgeman and Kenna Epps. Kaitlyn Hallman scored three times. Daughtry fanned seven in three innings.
Taylor County 8, Crawford County 7
The Vikings got the game-winner on an error behind the plate with two outs. Bailey Carreker had three hits and two RBI for Crawford County, Layla Loyd and Shamiya Raines adding two hits each.
Taylor County 8, Peach County 3
Gracie James and Calli Duncan had tow hits each for Taylor County, which put it away with five in the fifth. Keeleigh Jones had two hits for the Trojans. Ginny Deloach fanned seven with two walks for the complete-game win.
Veterans 9, Northside 7
The Warhawks won it with four in the fifth and two in the sixth. Jenna Thomas led Veterans with three hits and three RBI, Trinity Thiel adding two hits and two RBI. Emily Myers and Cailyn Snellgrove added two runs each.
Celena Luna drove in five runs on two hits, while Madelyne Lee scored three times on two hits and Ayma Smith drove in two runs with two hits.
