Fans started a movement to wear pink to honor Arkansas State head coach Blake Anderson, who is mourning the loss of his wife Wendy to cancer. The “Wear Pink for Wendy” campaign has gained national attention.
She died on August 19th, and Anderson took a leave of absence. He rejoined the team earlier this month, and Saturday at Sanford Stadium is second game back. He suddenly returned last week – nobody knew he was coming until the team meeting at the hotel - and the Red Wolves beat UNLV..
Anderson has expressed his gratitude, and was “brought to tears” when he found out about what Georgia was doing.
