Braves Report
Mike Soroka led a quality pitching crew of four with six innings of one-hit ball, and Washington managed only two more hits in Atlanta’s 5-0 win.
The Braves got to Max Scherzer, dropping him to 10-6 with three runs in five innings.
Ozzie Albies had three hits, while Nick Markakis celebrated his return with two hits. Josh Donaldson and Matt Joyce added two hits to Atlanta’s 12-hit attack.
Markakis fractured his wriest on July 26.
Soroka struck out four with three walks, and now has the second-lowest ERA in the majors at 2.57
