Rain ended the night early for the Coastal Plain teams, Macon leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, and the game will be made up on June 23. The teams are supposed to try a regularly scheduled game on Sunday in Savannah.
Four Macon players drafted
The MLB draft ended Wednesday with four players from Macon being picked: Dylan Spacke, 21st round to Boston; Matthew Minnick, round 23 by the New York Yankees; Riley King, 26th round by Atlanta; Keaton Weisz, 36th round by Oakland.
Braves Report
The good news for Atlanta was that the Marlins actually had less offense in a pitchers battle, the Braves bullpen of Anthony Swarzak, Sean Newcomb, and Luke Jackson made the lone seventh-inning run stand in a 1-0 win.
It is Atlanta’s fourth shutout of the season, first since May 15. Julio Teheran went six innings, striking out five with a walk and two hits.

Keuchel start delayed
Rain took care of Dallas Keuchel’s appointment to pitch for Gwinnett on Saturday. Now, the plan is for him to pitch Monday for Rome. He got a full bullpen session Saturday.

Georgia College adds title, duties for Grodecki
Georgia College head softball coach Jamie Grodecki is now also an assistant athletics director for the Bobcats.
Grodecki has led the softball program for nine years, and will remain in that position. She has also been the senior women’s administrator.

Atlanta draft pick Riley King announced on Twitter Saturday that he was returning to Georgia. The redshirt sophomore from Collins Hill hit .295 with eight homers and 43 RBI.
