The GISA Class AA Gators pulled off the upset on the road, stunning the hosts –who had five errors - with four runs in the top of the seventh. All with two outs. Two came in on Tony Rudolph’s double to left and two on Humphries’ infield single. Dylan Humphries went 3-for-5 with two RBI, and Logan Merritt 2-for-4.
Houston County 6, Perry 1
The Bears sealed it with three in the sixth, Jaden Woods and Dylan Tabor teaming for a 10-strikeout two-hitter. Houston County, which survived stranding 11 runners, got two-hit games from Cameron Jones, Corbet Luna, Coleman Willis, and Jeremy White.
Howard 16, Veterans 8
The 4A Huskies doubled up the 5A Warhawks, who had five errors and gave up the lead in the seventh by giving up 10 runs. Veterans led 3-0, then trailed 6-5 before three in the sixth gave it the lead. Each team had five unearned runs. Spencer Moon, Jordan Gray, and Scott Campbell had two hits each for Howard while Justin Smith drove in three runs. Spencer Moon gave up all four Veterans hits in 4.1 innings, the bullpen of Win Davidson, Christian Arnett and Trent Brown following, Davidson giving up three runs – one earned - on no hits and two walks.

Jones County 8, Rutland 5
Rutland’s four-run sixth was too late, Jones County leading 8-0 at the time. Colby Gordon and Chandler Wooten each had two hits for the Greyhounds, who got three RBI from Barnes and seven Ks in 5.2 innings from Wooten. Jonathan Harnist had two hits and two RBI for the Hurricanes.
Northside 15, Peach County 6
The Eagles did the damage in four innings, sparked by a six-run third. Hunter Price and Mitchell Upshaw had two hits each, while Jacob Catey and Tyler Wilson had three RBI each, Javier Rodriguez and Price adding two RBI each.

Isaac Thomas had 17, adding to the resume as the only player in men’s program history in the top 10 in points, rebounds, blocks, assists, and steals, and tops the Peach Belt all time in rebounds.

Peach County alum Darrell White nailed a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Knights the win in the SSAC men’s hoops tournament. White finished with 17 points. They face second-seeded William Carey on Thursday.
