State football polls roundup and computer predictions for Central Georgia teams

State football polls roundup and computer predictions for Central Georgia teams

Consistency, that’s one thing Central Georgia teams have going poll-wise.

The only movement in the Georgia Sports Writers Association poll came in Class AA, where Washington County moved up a spot to no. 8.

And in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution poll, Jones County moved up a spot in 5A, Mary Persons jumped two in 4A to No. 2 – Central Georgia’s highest-ranked team – and Peach County dropped one to fourth in 3A, while 2-2 Macon County emerged at N0 10 in Class A public.

For the second week, Class 4A Upson-Lee mistakenly picked up a vote in Class 5A in the sportswriters poll.

Dooly County fell from No. 10 in Class A public in the AJC, and the Bobcats can gain that back, hosting Macon County on Friday. Mount de Sales got a sportswriters vote in Class A.
