Macon losing streak grows
Macon’s lead was short-lived, and the Bacon battled back, but Lexington County survived three errors for a 7-5 home win.
Lexington County got some control with two in the seventh for a 4-1 lead, then added three in the eighth before Macon matched that in the ninth.
Macon had more runs than hits (three), led by Cal Gentry’s solo homer.
Macon (7-11) hosts Florence (10-8) at 7 p.m. Saturday and Lexington County (8-11) on Monday.
