Central Georgians make more college baseball teams

Mercer’s Robert Broom added a few more honors to his resume, and was joined by other state players.

Broom is a third-team All-American on the Perfect Game/Rawlings team. Georgia Tech catcher Joey Bart is a first-teamer, with Veterans’ Gabe Holt of Texas Tech and Georgia’s Keegan McGovern making honorable mention.

Bart made D1Baseball.com’s second team, McGovern and Broom the third team.

Broom was 10-4 with a 1.70 ERA, and was drafted last week in the 10th round by Cleveland.
