A 4-run fifth sparked Stratford in the opener, the Eagles getting 2-hit games from Andrew Palmer and Trey Giles. Clifton Olmstead and Hall Buice teamed for a 2-hitter, Olmstead striking out 9. The Eagles' offense got going late in the second game with 5 runs in the final 2 innings. Giles and Jamie O'Quinn had 2 hits each, while Justin Alford had half of GMC's hits. Sammy Martin went the distance and struck out 11.

The top-ranked Trojans got what they needed with 3 in the first. Logan Simmons and Austin Marchman went 3-for-4, Simmons getting 3 RBI and 3 runs and Marchman 3 runs, while Miles Morris went 3-for-3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs. Logan Fink added 2 hits and 3 runs, and Luke Laskey went all 5, whiffing 10 with 1 walk.
