Julius Cobbs was a playmaker all season long for Warner Robins.

The Demons’ season is over, but Cobbs isn’t.

The senior took a pass for 70 yards and a touchdown to help the American team to a 17-14 win in the Georgia Elite Classic senior game Thursday at McEachern.

He finished with three catches for 94 yards.

McEachern hosted freshman, sophomore, junior and senior games while Freedom Field was the locale for three games sponsored by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association.

Dooly County’s Desi Lester caught a pass for 20 yards and ran once for three yards in the senior game at McEachern for American.

Houston County receiver Khalil Polk and DB Keifer Askew were on the National team but didn’t register any stats.

Dooly County quarterback Bo Lawson threw only six passes in the junior Elite game, but one was for a 60-yard touchdown. He was 3 for 6 for 65 yards, and ran once for three yards in the 31-19 American win.

Mary Persons defensive lineman Daniel Lavelle and offensive lineman Colton Dingmore were also on the national roster.

Mount de Sales quarterback Dexter Williams was 5 for 8 for 81 yards passing and ran nine times for 50 yards and a touchdown in the National’s 38-35 win in the sophomore game.

Bleckley County’s Hugh Cairney averaged 55.8 yards on four kickoffs for National. Keilyn Tyus of Lamar County, Manny Thompson of Warner Robins, Demeke Colbert of Upson-Lee and Chandler Wiggins of Hawkinsville were on sophomore rosters as well.

Upson-Lee’s Maddox Jackson had two solos, three assists and a hurry in the freshman game, in a losing cause, 31-21 to National.

Peach County offensive lineman Terrence Ferguson and Upson-Lee defensive back Chance Gamble were also on rosters for the game.

At Freedom Field, the North won the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association sophomore game 36-21, the South rolled to a 42-10 win in the junior game and 27-3 win in the senior game.

No official stats were kept, or released, so information is minimal.

According to social media reports, Warner Robins quarterback Dylan Fromm passed for three touchdowns in the juniors game, and teammate Bobby Kelly had a scoop-and-score in the senior game.
