Henley completes top-10 finish at Heritage
A few early bogeys nudged Russell Henley out of contention, but a few late birdies led to a quality finish at the RBC Heritage.
Henley shot a 1-under final round for a 12-under 272 for the weekend, good for a tie for eighth.
Henley, Scottie Scheffler, and two-day leader Si Woo Kim each took home a $580,000 paycheck, putting Henley over the $6 million mark for the season.
Henley started the day tied for seventh, and after a birdie on No. 2, Henley bogeyed No. 3 and 5 and dropped out of the top 10 temporarily.
A birdie on No. 8 started a positive turn countered by a bogey on No. 10. As the leaderboard got more crowded, Henley treaded water with five straight pars, and then birdies on 16 and 17 got him into a short-term tie for fifth.
A birdie on 18 gave him four under-par rounds for the tournament, a week after missing the Masters cut.
The Stratford grad is off until the Truist Championship in Philadelphia May 8-11, then the PGA Championship in Charlotte on May 15-18.
