Alumni Update
Central Georgia’s NCAA Tournament rep: Stacie Jones
From Kathleen to Macon to Stillwater, Oklahoma, Stacie Jones has taken a long path to the NCAA Tournament.
Jones is the lone player from a Central Georgia high school participating in either the women’s or men’s NCAA Tournament.
Jones has played in 26 of Oklahoma State’s 31 games entering Saturday’s game against South Dakota State at 2:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
She’s averaging 8.8 minutes a game, 3.3 points,2.3 rebounds, and had a season-high 18 points and 14 rebounds against McNeese State.
Jones started every game in her final season at Mercer, in 2023-24, and was second with 11.8 points and 6.8 rebounds. Jones started her career at Kennesaw State, and has averaged 7.8 points and 4.7 rebounds in college.
Jones graduated from Veterans as a 1,000-point/1,000-rebound player who was also an all-state volleyball player.
