Henley improves in final round, but …
The good news for Russell Henley is that he had more birdies than bogeys. The bad news is he had his first double-bogey in a long time.
The Stratford grad finished tied for 39th out of 54 players in The Genesis Invitational after an even-par final round after a 75 on Saturday.
Henley was 2 over for the tournament, along with Shane Lowry.
The double bogey came on the par-4 No. 14, a 442-yard hole. He went from the tee box to the left bunker, botched his second shot and stayed there, then went to the left rough.
He went from 64 yards to 14 feet on his par shot, got within a half foot for bogey and tapped in for the double.
Henley, who picked up $82,000 for the weekend, is idle until the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando March 6-9.
