Four Central Georgians pick up gold at GHSA state traditional wrestling (updated)

Among the results Saturday at the final day of the GHSA state traditional wrestling at the Macon Coliseum came at 110 on the girl’s side.
MiKayla Williams won.
The junior at Houston County avoided her second loss of the season, winning a battle over Ella Wells of Schley County to take the state title in that class.
Class 5A boys finished up on Saturday, with Central Georgia managing a second-place finish and three in fifth place.
Houston County and Veterans both finished in the top15 in 5A.

Central Georgia took three state titles on Friday at the GHSA traditional state meet at the Macon Coliseum.
Perry’s Matthew Kohlman, J.T. Bowers of West Laurens, and Domimarkeyo Walden of Dublin captured state titles in their respective classes.
Bowers joined Gerald Carr, Mike Slaughter, Chase Horne as three-time state champs at West Laurens.
Class 5A and the girls competitors finish up on Friday, with Houston County’s Caleb McGlamry at 150 and MiKayla Williams at 110 girls going for titles.
Upson-Lee and West Laurens in Class AAAA were the only area teams with a top-10 finish.
In the middle of the afternoon on Friday, Upson-Lee in 3A was the top Central Georgia team, in eighth place, one spot and 1.5 points ahead of West Laurens and five ahead of Mary Persons.
Jones County in 4A was in 11th place, four spots ahead of Perry.
