Central Georgia trio wins state wrestling titles, two go for gold Saturday

Central Georgias took three state titles on Friday at the GHSA traditional state meet at the Macon Coliseum.
Perry’s Matthew Kohlman, James Bowers of West Laurens, and Domimarkeyo of Dublin captured state titles in their respective classes.
Class 5A and the girls competitors finish up on Friday, with Houston County’s Caleb McGlamry at 150 and MiKayla Williams at 110 girls going for titles.
Upson-Lee and West Laurens in Class AAAA were the only area teams with a top-10 finish.
In the middle of the afternoon on Friday, Upson-Lee in 3A was the top Central Georgia team, in eighth place, one spot and 1.5 points ahead of West Laurens and five ahead of Mary Persons.
Jones County in 4A was in 11th place, four spots ahead of Perry.
