          A 6-run second sparked the Royals to a 10-0 lead after 2. Nyra Waters led the 14-hit attack with a 3-for-3 game. Kaylee Rae Barrs, Zoey Adams, and Emmie Williams each had 2 hits, Cayleigh Francis with 2 hits and 2 RBI. Derricka Lewis went 2 for 3 for Dublin.

          Emmi Jackson’s 2-run singles in the second and fourth innings sparked the Lancers after Anna Sweatt’s two-run in in the first to go along with three runs on an error. Avery Queen fanned two in the 6-inning 4-hitter. Sweat had 3 hits, and Brianna Walker and Alena Gibby 2 each.

FPD 9, John Milledge 1, 5 inn.
          Lyric ones’ first win of the year was a one-hitter that got going on Addison Arnold’s 2-run inside-the-park homer in the first. The lead was 8-1 after 4. Jones and Hannah Davis each had 2 hits, Jones with a homer, and Mollie Moughon drove in 3 runs, Jessica Jones swiping 3 bases.

Howard 20, Richmond Academy 0, 3 inn.; Howard 18, Richmond Academy 0, 3 inn.
          Arlanna Stephenson’s 3-run triple in the first inning got the Huskies going. The Huskies put up 9 runs on no hits in the second, on a walk, fielder’s choice, and several errors. The Musketeers had only 3 errors in the nightcap, but walked 16 Huskies, Howard needing only 5 hits for the romp. Jakeria Jackson and Stephenson each had 3 RBI.

Lanier County 8, Westfield 2

Mary Persons 9, Whitewater 2
          Shelbie Lewis went 3 for 4, Sara Grace Errera adding 3 hits and Olivla Woodgeard 2, the Bulldogs drawing 7 walks and turning 3 double plays.

Peach County 16, Monroe 0, 3 inn.; Peach County 16, Monroe 0
          The Trojans put up all 16 in the bottom of the first of the opener. Kaylyn Hornaday had 4 RBI on 2 hits, the Trojans aided by 12 walks. Peach County needed all of 2 innings for the 16 runs in the nightcap, boosted by a dozen wild pitches, 7 stolen bases and several hit batters, needing only 11 hits for the day.

Perry 5, Schley County 1
          Homers by Anna Dean and Mackenzie Crumley paced Perry. Crumley and Chloey Davey had 2 hits for Perry, Dean and Crumley with 2 RBI each.

Tattnall 20, Mount de Sales 0, 3 inn.    
          The Trojans put up 10 runs in the second inning on Annamary Talcott’s solo homer, Gradie Appling’s 2-run double, Molly Kemp’s 3-run bomb, and Abigayle Baugh’s 2-run double, the inning boosted by errors. Baugh and Appling each had 3 hits.

Taylor County 9, Brookstone 5
          Brookstone took a 5-1 lead lead after one, but Taylor County scored single runs in the next five innings and 3 in the seventh, taking advantage of 9 Brookstone errors along the way. Molleigh Gassett, Sunni Scott, and Bralyn Hunter each had 2 hits for Taylor County, Alyssa Nipper driving in 2 runs and stealing 3 bases. Gassett fanned 13 with no walks for the complete-game win.

Macon Touchdown Club honors a Seminole, Cav, and Gryphon

          Players from Westside, Mount de Sales, and ACE ar the latest Macon Touchdown Club players of the week.

          Back: Junior quarterback James Neville of Westside completed 11 of 23 passes for 297 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions in Westside’s 56-31 loss to Westover.

          Lineman: Sophomore defensive lineman Bryson Fletcher of Mount de Sales racked up 10 tackles, five sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the 7-6 win over Calvary Christian.

          Special teams: Junior kicker Henry Carter of ACE, was perfect on six PAT tries,put five kickoffs in the end zone, and added a 35-yard field goal in the 45-0 win at Jefferson County
