          The Central Georgia high school football schedule, as well as others, continues undergoing alterations because of Hurricane Helene.

          The flurry of changes began around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

          Postponed, pending rescheduling: Northeast at Dublin, Aquinas at Howard, GMC Prep at Twiggs County, Jefferson County at Bleckley County, Central-Talbotton at Crawford County; Schley County at Crawford County; Tattnall at Bulloch; Gatewood at Augusta Prep.

The John Milledge-Stratford game was moved to Mercer at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

          School systems announced closures for Thursday and/or Friday, but many were unclear regarding extracurricular activities in their social media postings.

          Georgia College athletic events for Thursday and Friday are postponed, but resume on Saturday. Middle Georgia State’s home events are still on, with other teams on the road and still scheduled to play.

The Braves’ remaining two games with the Mets were moved to a traditional doubleheader on Monday, after the three-game series Kansas City.

          There were other football changes announced Tuesday, moving games to Wednesday:

          Wayne County, 0-5, at No. 6 Warner Robins, 4-1, 6 p.m.; Southwest, 2-3/2-2,, at No. 6 Dodge County, 5-0/4-0, 7:30 p.m.; Washington County, 2-3/2-2, at Central 0-5/0-4 (Ed DeFore), 7 p.m.; Pinewood Christian, 1-4, at Westfield, 3-2, 6:30 p.m.
