The Eagles cruised after taking a 10-0 halftime lead.

Howard 31, Rutland 12
Two weather delays seemed to help Howard, which led 9-6 when the second one interrupted the second quarter after it got 2 points on a safety. The Huskies scored on their first two drive after the game resumed, on a15-yard pass from Deon Wellons to Chifuno Kabisama and then a 22-yard pass to Jacolbie Allen for a 23-6 lead with 53 seconds left in the half. Rutland picked off three passes and outgained Howard 325-219, led by 82 rushing yards from Rashon Collier.

The Raiders were up 27-0 at halftime, scoring in the final half-minute of the second quarter. The start was delayed about an hour because of a storm-caused power outage in Sandersville.

ACE Charter 12, Dublin 3, 6 inn.
Avery Edalgo whiffed 10 for ACE, which scored 8 in the first two innings. Dublin matched ACE with 8 hits, but had 4 errors. Sophia Denny drove in 3 runs on 2 hits and scored twice for ACE, which stole bases.

The Huskies cruised behind Abby Davis’ 2-hit, 7 strikeout effort. Anna Nash had 3 hits and Abby Hardy 2 hits and 3 RBI, Davis also driving in 2 runs and scoring 3 times.

Houston County 8, Coffee 3; Coffee 7, Houston County 3
Ansleigh Darby’s 4-hit – all doubles - outing led the Bears in the opener, Houston County putting gup 7 in the third and outhitting Coffee 14-4.

Mary Persons 2, Sandy Creek 1

Olivia Woodgeard struck out 7 in the five-inning 1-hitter. Sara Grace Errera walked to open the bottom of the fifth, stole second, and came in with what became the game-winner on Woodgeard’s single to center.

Shaniyah Gibson drove in 5 runs and Saniya Martin stole 3 bases to lead the Trojans. Gibson had 2 of the 7 hits.

Braylin Horton broke a 4-4 tie with a 2-run single in the top of the ninth, Caidence Scott following with a run-scoring hit. Good thing, because TCC scored twice in the bottom half, Maddy Kinkade getting a game-ending strikeout with runners on second and third.. Rayven Hodridge had 3 hits in the opener.
