Ben Tryon led Macon with a 4-for-5 night, with Sherman Johnson driving in 3 runs on 2 hits, Jaxon Milam adding 2 hits and 2 runs. Payton Adkisson threw the final 1.1 innings for the win.

Washington County’s Gray earns spot on WNBA All-Star team
Former Washington County standout Allisha Gray was named Tuesday to her second WNBA All-Star team.
The All-Star team will take on the US national team – teammates vs. teammates – on July 20 in Phoenix.
The team was selected in a process: fan voting (50 percent), current players (25 percent) and national media panel (25 percent). Six players in the top 10 were already named to the national team. Four players not on the US team moved up to the team. Then 12 WNBA coaches picked from next 36 highest vote-getters for the remaining spots on Team WNBA.
Gray leads Atlanta with 15.6 points a game, second-best in her career, after last year’s 17.1 point. The 2017 Rookie of the Year won gold in 2021 in the first 3-on-3 competition. Last week, she became the 86th WNBA player to score 3,000 career points.
The WNBA has not released voting results after the top 5.
