WACO’s Gray closes out All-Star weekend in style
First, Washington County grad Allisha Gray won the WNBA skills competition.
A little while later on Friday night, she took the 3-point shooting contest.
What would she have left for Saturday’s All-Star game against the Olympic team?
Plenty.
The Atlanta Dream standout was second in scoring with 16 points and led the WNBA All-Stars with 5 steals en route to a 117-109 win over the Olympic team.
She was 9 for 10 from the line, and had 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and no turnovers in 22 minutes.
The WNBA is now off for the Olympics until Aug. 15, the Dream opening up the second half a day later when Seattle comes to town.
