Alumni Update
Tattnall grad Allie Gordon’s latest addition to the softball record book at Belhaven is taking over as the program’s all-time hits leader with 286.
Warner Robins grad Nelson Phillips, who played at Georgia State and Troy, was voted one of the top five players in the Serbian basketball league. He’s averaging 20 points and 5.8 rebounds in 28.1 minutes a game in his first season.
Signings
Jones County’s Ched Smith signed with LaGrange for football, and Pressley Vinson with Shorter for volleyball.
Four Mary Persons girls basketball players have signed: Samiya Morris with Tompkins Cortland, Zaria Wilson and Qua’Nesha Brown with Brewton-Parker, and Hajar Baldwin-Toles with Andrew.
Stratford’s Cam Douthit, a day after winning a state title, has signed with Mercer for men’s tennis. Gavin Aguirre will play men’s soccer at Oglethorpe, and Jarvis Smith is headed to Coastal Georgia for men’s basketball.
