The fever hasnโt quite taken over yet at Northeast, but students who may not be on the bandwagon for the Raiders might soon be.
After all, the football team got the district Tuesday off.
Tuesday is an asynchronous learning day for the Northeast zone of Bernd Elementary School, Burdell-Hunt Elementary School, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary, Appling Middle School, and Northeast. Students will work from home, well, they wonโt be at school.
Kickoff is 1 p.m. Tuesday, and the game will be on GPB TV as well as online. The only links fans should use to stream the game are at gpb.org and, for pay, www.nfhsnetwork.com. No other link โ and there are dozens of scam/spam links every game day posted on social media โ is legitimate.
Seating is somewhat assigned at Mercedes-Benz Stadium as far as each school has a section. The Raiders are set for section 127C, and Northeast fans shuld enter at Gate 1 or 2.
Parking is available around the stadium at $17.95. Fans not wishing to pay that much or deal with traffic can, as many local Atlanta Falcons fans do, drive to a Marta station south of town โ best options are College Park and East Point, just west of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport - and ride mass transit to the front of the Benz.
Marta begins just before 5 a.m. and southbound from the stadium finishes after midnight. Cost is $2.50 one way, and there is transfer and short connection to the Vine City station across the street from th stadium or Georgia World Congress Center between the facilities.
The GHSA has a page with information, including tickets, parking, clear-bag information, parking, and a guide to the stadium.
