Division I (5A, 4A, 3A) 12 teams

5. Jones County

The Greyhounds moved up in the region to second, but get a solid third-seed as an opener. Do they have the momentum?

4. Houston County

The Bears are in familiar territory.

3. Peach County

The huge turnaround for Marquis Westbrook and his staff continues.

2. Warner Robins

A week off after a thrilling win over Perry doesn’t help the Demons, who needed that big momentum going into the playoffs.

1. Perry

And now the playoffs begin with a target on Perry’s back. Which sounds pretty good for Panther Nation. For now.

Division II (2A, A, GIAA) 33 teams

Top 10

10. ACE Charter

If Dublin wasn’t likely waiting in the second round, the Gryphons could perhaps win a couple games. But they can also lose against a good defensive team in the first round.

9. Washington County

The Golden Hawks team feels like it has more mojo than it has in a few years.

8. Jasper County

Can the Purple Hurricanes handle the rarest of airs for the program, a home playoff game against another hungry upstart with a little more big-game experience?

7. Macon County

A defense on a roll makes the Bulldogs somebody to keep an eye on for a few rounds.

6. Westside

The Seminoles will have to be more versatile and disciplined to get out of the first round.

5. Lamar County

Could the Trojans be an actual sleeper?

4. FPD

One of the area’s most consistent teams is really on target for a repeat, especially if one or two players get healthy.

3. Dodge County

Can the Indians, as an upstart, keep things going?

2. Northeast

The week off may really, really help the Raiders get a couple good games going.

1. Dublin

Sorry, nothing new here. Again. It may take a few weeks for something new.
