Division I (5A, 4A, 3A) 12 teams

5. Jones County

The Greyhounds aren’t overlooking anybody or anything, with three straight 40-plus games and their first shutout since 2022.

4. Peach County

Whether the Trojans really are the top team in AAA is debatable – opponents are 38-51 – but they beat an undefeated team by 19 and 6-2 by 31, and are closing very, very well.

had little trouble with Bainbridge, another TCOB win. Peach County appears to be back to Peach County.

3. Warner Robins

The Demons have a shot to end the regular-season on a 1-3 slide, a mark that hasn’t happened since a 1-4 start to the 2022 season, which ended in the 5A state championship game.

2. Houston County

The first two-game losing streak since 2021 is likely to become the first three-game losing streak since, uh, that two-game losing streak, when the Bears went from 4-3 to 4-7.

1. Perry, Warner Robins

It’s more than head to head, more than just the score. Perry was probably the better team Friday, Warner Robins made the winning play with less than a second left. Perryis the region’s top seed, Warner Robins is third or fourth. They’re even. Deal with it.

Division II (2A, A, GIAA) 33 teams

Top 10

10. Tattnall

          Off last week.

10. Westfield

          Off last week.

9. Washington County

The Golden Hawks found a way to win on the road on Senior Night in a sluggish game. They might suddenly be one of those teams for a week or two.

8. Jasper County

Had a battle on the road against Lamar County, a night that should still give the Purple Hurricanes a little momentum heading into the postseason.

7. Westside

The running of KD Iverson makes the Seminoles a tough first-round out.

6. Macon County

All of a sudden, Macon County is playing like Macon County, on a defense-oriented two-game winning streak.

5. FPD

          Off last week.

3. (tie). Lamar County, Dodge County

Dodge County making Dublin sweat for awhile wasn’t a surprise, and the Indians will kick themselves a little bit. Lamar County did a nice job taking care of business and Jasper County.

2. Northeast

What team has three shutouts and held two more opponents to single digits? Deez guys.

1. Dublin

Dublin gonna Dublin, and Dublined against Dodge County in the second half.
