John-Reagan Freethy drove in four runs on two hits in the opener, while Mason Minzey had three hits. Connor Hill, Connor Hicks, Jackson Cherry, and Elijah Frank also had two-hit games, Cherry and Frank with two RBI each.
FPD grad Austin Emener went 4.1 innings in relief to get the win, thanks to Macon’s two-run fourth and then five in the seventh.
Macon walked it off in the nightcap with three in a wild seventh. Three walks, a wild pitch, and Nolan Clifford’s two-run single gave Macon the win.
Macon is at Florence on Friday and hosts Asheboro on Saturday, the first of two holiday fireworks nights.
