GMC JC’s Mercer earns All-America honor
Avery Mercer, a sophomore pitcher at GMC, was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association’s third-team All-America squad.
She batted .469 with 78 RBI and 15 homers (tying the school single-season record), and helped the Bulldogs turn 26 double plays. GMC finished 37-18, losing to Gordon State 4-2 in the GCAA championship.
