Six Central Georgian advance to GHSA wrestling finals, three - from West Laurens and Mary Persons - get chance to defend (Central Georgia update)

A little more than a day’s worth of action is done, and one thing is clear:
This won’t be a normal year for GHSA wrestling in Central Georgia.
There are only two area teams in their classification’s top 10 as of noon Friday, with three others at No. 11. And only six Central Georgia wrestlers are locked in to wrestling for a state championship on Saturday. Less than two dozen others will wrestle for points, in the top six.
Veterans’ Latrell Schafer, West Laurens’ Drake Wood, an Mary Persons’ Anthony Manella will get a chance to defend their state championships.
